If you find yourself in Napoleon or the surrounding area, you can't go wrong staying at the Mozy Inn.
Great place to stay clean comfortable, friendly staff
Checking in is a bit different than the big chain hotels. Dave doesnt stay in the office but you just call the number on the office door and he pops right over to take care of you. More often than not, he's next door at the auto body painting shop he runs too.
If you're staying in Napoleon, it's a nice town with small-town feel. Ken's C-store has just about anything you need, and some food offerings but is only open 7a-7p. The White Maid Diner has a good menu with standard diner fare and nightly dinner specials. They are popular with the kids for ice cream and snacks. Try the "3 Little Pigs" sandwich! If you're looking for dinner fare, the Downtowner Bar has a great offering of steaks, burgers, chicken, fish. I always got the Hamburger Steak or Mushroom Swiss Burger. Unfortunately, they only serve food Wednesday-Sunday.
I stayed here for about 10 weeks for work in the area, and glad I chose the Mozy Inn. The motel is your best bet for Napoleon. The owner Dave is friendly and accommodating. The room I was in was well maintained, clean, and updated. It had a small fridge and microwave which was nice and he has a couple propane grills outside for you to use. I believe they have a few rooms with kitchens if that's what you need too. The motel seemed mostly full during my stay, so make sure to check if he has vacancy before your trip. Dave mentioned he is building a laundromat behind the motel so he may have that open by the time you read this, for your convenience.
A couple minor disappointments: The motel wifi is pretty unreliable, which can be frustrating if you're trying to do work. I didn't get reception with my phone from inside the room. This could be due to either the metal roof, or just a Verizon dead spot. Had to make phone calls outside the room. Also, I would have liked to have a small desk in my room for doing paperwork since I was here on business.
